SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
The years the students spend in school help them to acquire principles of good conduct as well as values such as behaviour, honesty, trust, co-operation, self-reliance and hard work. These principles are inculcated in students through various activities under the guidance of their teachers. Students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities of the school.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
PRE-SCHOOL
- Girls : Red and Check Frock, White Socks with Red stripes and Black Shoes. Hair ribbon, Hair-band and Hairclips if worn, should be White.
- Boys : Red Shirt with Check half pants, and White Socks with Red stripes and Black Shoes.
- PT Uniform : Dark Blue Skirt / Trouser with light Blue T-Shirt and Socks with dark Blue with light Blue stripes and White Shoes.
CLASS : V – X
- Girls : : Red Blazer, Red Skirt, White Shirt, Grey Socks with Red stripes and Black Shoes. Hair ribbon, Hair-band and Hairclips should be White.
- Boys :Grey half-pants, White Shirt, Grey Waistcoat and Grey Socks with Red Stripes and Black Shoes.
- Maroon Sweaters should be worn in winter by all the students. If students violate any of these rules, the principal may take disciplinary actions.
CLASS : I – IV
- Girls : Red Pinafore, White Blouse, Grey Socks with Red stripes and Black Shoes. Hair ribbon, Hair-band and Hairclips should be White.
- Boys : : Grey full-pants, White Shirt, Grey Waistcoat and Grey Socks with Red stripes and Black Shoes.
- Maroon Sweaters should be worn in winter by all the students.
- Students of Class I to X should wear P.T. Uniform on Wednesday, Saturday and on special occasions as specified by the school.
- The boys should have regular and clean haircut. Long hair is not permitted for hygienic reason and also no fashionable haircut in encouraged / allowed in the school. Girls’ hair should be bobbed or in two plaits.
- The students should not wear any jewellery / ornaments in school.
PROMOTION
Periodic and regular evaluation I tests will be conducted for the students. The result declared at the end of the academic year is final and will not be reconsidered.
SCHOOL TRANSPORT RULES
- Nazareth School provides transportation facilities for students. All the students have to submit the details by duly filling-in the Form given in page 9.
- Making use of the bus service is not compulsory, but once opted for transportation service, parents will have to pay the Van Fee according to the installment period.
- In case the parent / guardian wishes to change the boarding point or bus route, a written application should be submitted to the office in advance.
- Bus fees may be increased as and when the Management finds it essential.
- No student will be allowed to avail school bus service after 1st July, 2024.
- Students are expected to be on their bus stops at least five minutes prior to arrival of the bus.
- Buses will not wait for late comers.
- Children should always stay away from the main road until the bus arrives to avoid accidents.
- No students should try to board, until the bus has made a complete stop. The drivers are authorised to stop buses at the designated stops only, unless or otherwise directed by the school authority.
- The list of stops is prepared by keeping the convenience of all in view and is subject to change.
- When the bus is in motion, students should not move around in the bus, they should not let any part of their body be out side (window) of the bus.
- Shrieking, shouting, unruly behaviour are strictly prohibited. Courteous behaviour is expected at all times.
- The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason.
- Follow the queue system while boarding and alighting the bus.
- If students violate any of these rules, the principal may take disciplinary actions.
Leave
No student will be granted leave without the written application of the parent / guardian. In case of prolonged illness, the principal should be informed. No student who has been absent may be admitted to class unless she/he brings a Leave Note. Leave Note should be written and signed by the parent / guardian on the “Leave Record” page of the Calendar. For prolonged leave due to illness, Doctor’s Certificate is required. If a student is absent from the school for 10 or more consecutive days or 5 calendar days before or after vacation without prior permission, her / his name may be removed from the roll.
